Arrgh! Ever have one of those days that no matter what you've done - it really feels like it was a bad decision? This actually goes back to Friday. Never believe anyone when they say that they'll get something done late Friday afternoon before Labor Day! That left me and my boss (mainly my boss) to run around trying to find an alternative method of giving a class computer access. She comes up with an idea that involves all the department "reserving" a machine in the computer lab. Not the best overall - but the best under those circumstances. Then guess what happens. The person we are holding the machines for no-shows. The whole department lost a good chunk of the morning holding these machines and now I can't get a hold of this person to find out what happened. Names withheld to protect the accused

Anyway - that leaves me doing a lot of catching up to do. That also means I have to cancel seeing my friend Carol before she flies back to Germany. I haven't seen her in about 2 years and now this rare chance is blown. Consider this a very public apology, Carol. I'm sorry.
