Let just start by saying "Arrrrgh!". ahh. Now I feel better. The past 3 weeks have had 3 people tell me really bad things going on in their lives, and always ended with "and no one knows but you." I appreciate being a guy they can trust, but part of me really wishes I could spew some of it on this webpage - just think of the increase in readership! And then think of the decrease in friends, my "good side" says. Oh well. If any of you are reading - stick with it! And don't worry, I won't say anything.
Speaking of "saying anything" you should look at In Passing. It is amazing what some people say and what you overhear.
Some people say that Microsoft is trying to rule the world. That may or may not be true - but it sure seems that AOL Time Warner is trying to buy the world. Read this article from Yahoo News. It seems that AT&T is their latest target. (from slashdot.org)
Now I get some grief from my friends that my strongest programming language was Lisp, and that went out in the 1980s. Well I now have found some ammo to fire back. NASA released a study looking at using Lisp as an alternative to Java. Read it here and then weep. (also from slashdot.org)
"Searching for Bobby Fischer" has nothing on this story from the BBC that claims that the reclusive chess mastermind has been playing anonymously on the web. (see: slashdot.org)
Weird science day must be today as there was an article on haptics from cnet.com and an article on e-paper from the BBC. (I read too much of slashdot.org)
