I know, I know - why have a web page if you aren't going to update it more than once every 10 days? {smirk}

Things are nuts right now. Projects I thought were done are arising from the grave and refusing to be put to bed, no matter how much time I spend on 'em. I got another call from that organization in my previous post. I can't blame 'em for wanting to know what's going on. The Windows migration at work is going ok, but there's a lot of tension in the office lately. Maybe it's just my lack of sleep that makes me think that.

Julie & I got a not-so-friendly reminder to renew our lease in the form of a lease termination notice. Not good. Between my going to the hospital and working long hours we had no time to get into the office to sign a new lease. A phone call and a bit of luck that someone was working late in the office helped us keep our place. I can't wait until we get a house so we don't have to worry about leases... (just mortgages, house insurance, property taxes... mmm what was I thinking???)

Enough for now, I've got to hit the hay. I worked all weekend on a project and I'm just wiped. Maybe I'll add more tomorrow, or maybe I'll just take a nap...

Today was interesting. I got a call from someone representing a group I had done some web work for a while ago. They were wondering why I was mentioning their website on my pages, as I had nothing to do with their organization. This took me back a bit as I had been paid to design and code their web pages. After a short discussion it became painfully obvious to me that I had been used. Apparently the person I talked was supposed to do it, and instead got me to do the work and get none of the credit. I did get paid, but the principle of the thing gets me a bit urked. I have nothing against the organization, but I am a bit upset with the person who roped me into this. ERF!

Fixed some stuff, but I wish I could have added more tonight, but my wrists hurt too bad to type much. Talk to ya'll later.

I'm feeling better! I say that because I went to the emergency room on Wednesday. High fever and shaking like I had been pulled from an iceberg. I'm doing ok now, just a bit tired. Went back to work today.

Ever notice how I seem to be only mentioning the bad things and I just touch on the good things lately. I'll try and be more positive next time.

Yeah, I'm still around - just not blogging much.

Went to see the Grandparents (both sides) and Great Grandma this weekend. That was fun, but tiring. My parents made a suprise visit on Sunday at Grandma Childers' place. It was my dad's birthday so it was very neat to see them there. I kind of wish we could have spent more time there, but we needed to come back home.

Don't expect much more from me in the near future. I'll post when I can - but it will be a rough couple of weeks and I know that posting is something I will readily put on the back burner.

Things are nuts lately. I've been too busy to think, much less type. I got one of my projects off my plate today, which is good. Right now its time to start the "media blitz" at work telling the staff that we are basically going to wipe their hard drives and they had best be prepared. It's going to be a fun summer! {rolls eyes}

On the other hand, I finally was able to spend some time not working last night, which is good.

This weekend Julie & I are off to see my grandparents and my great-grandmother. It'll be a full weekend as they live a good morning's drive away. It's been a while since I've seen them, especially my great grandmother so I'm looking forward to that. She's 94+ year's old, but still as sharp as a tack. I just hope I'm in that good of shape when I'm that age!
