I just got word that my latest article {see here to see when I had submitted it} has been accepted for publication. It probably won't see print until March of 2004, but it will be published. I was just about to pull it from consideration and try another journal, but I guess I did the right thing in just letting it ride. Now to continue work on the next one....

House, house, house, work, house, house house... Can you see where my mind is right now? I'll be more coherent in about a month, I think.
In the meantime, go to see both a whole bunch of family this weekend. Julie's parents came down Friday, my parents came down Saturday and we met at both of my sisters' houses.
I got a birthday cake this weekend and it hit me that I really had missed not having something special this year for my birthday. Call it selfish or childish or whatever, but I did miss it. The cake this weekend took care of that! Thanks Mom!
Julie & I have been working on our house a bit, but not as much as her parents. They went great guns at cleaning up the place. I'm amazed. There were times where all I could do was step back and stay out of the way. Julie & I appreciate all the help. Thanks!
Work, thankfully, is slowing down for me. I plan to have a bunch of projects closed by the time my vacation comes next month. Let's hope things cooperate.

In one week, Julie & I will have the keys to our first home. Nervous? You bet! However our insurance agent was amazed on how smoothly it was going. There's usually something major that happens during the process, and nothing really drastic has happened for us. I hope it continues. {knock on wood}

I'm in for a bunch of changes, soon.
I turn 30 tomorrow. Thirty. 3-0. And you know what? It no big deal.
The real big deal? In two weeks Julie & I get the keys to our first house. That's a big deal. We are constantly going over what we should do and get, and what we can afford. I've heard too many horror stories about people buying a house and then not being able to pay the first month's mortgage because they went nuts with home improvements. That's not going to happen to us. Not if I can help it.
