I really shouldn't be posting. I should be catching up on my email. I'm two and a half weeks behind on my work email, and about a week behind on my personal email.

I get well over 100 messages a day on my work account. I get about 10-20 a day on my personal email account. However, after going through 100+ messages at work- those 10 to 20 at home sometimes looks like Mt. Fuji!

I also had some weird messages where it would take a day or so for email to finally make its way into my inbox, and then messages I sent would appear bounced with a date 3 days in the future...

What I'm trying to say here is - I'll email you back eventually.... just give me some time.

Hey all!

I'm enjoying my "vacation at home". After last week, I needed it. I would be typing more, but Pepper seems to want to park right in front of the computer monitor. I'll have to train her that's a no-no.

Now don't worry, this won't become "the continuing adventures of Pepper" blog. I'll leave that up to Julie to create. {grin}

Pepper is a 3 month old torti. She seems to be making herself home very quickly, already falling asleep on the couch while sitting with Julie.

I should have kept my mouth shut on Monday...

We got hit hard on Tuesday. At least 90 machines got a backdoor program thrust upon them. Not only that but the campus DNS server went down, which means no one had network access at all. I don't know all the details of what happened, but we spent all of Wednesday trying to figure out how to clean these machines. We came up with a game plan and implemented it today. I'm earning my keep this week, that's for sure.

I should have kept my mouth shut on Friday. Today was just the opposite of that day. I spent all day cleaning up computer viruses. At least 13 machines got hit with some sort of security problem today. Yep it seems that it is either drought or flood lately.

Oh Happy Day! I now have a digital camera. Well, I had it a couple days ago, but I didn't have a way to get the pics from it to the PC. A quick trip to Circuit City to purchase a memory card and now I have a camera. I guess this means you'll probably start to see more pics on this page... after I take pictures of something worthwhile that is.

Julie & I had our garage sale today. We didn't do too bad, we sold some "big ticket" items. However any profit we made will go to replace our porch swing that broke while we were holding the garage sale. Nobody got hurt when it broke, as we were just standing up when it decided to fall down. Our front porch looks really barren with nothing there. You win some, you lose some I guess.

I'm having one of those very quiet, boring days at work. I like the days when stuff is going on a lot more than a day like today. This is the type of day that makes me think I could be accomplishing a lot more if I was at home. I'd at least be playing more computer games. {grin}
