Net result = 0

Another busy day, but none of it was on the literal "to-do list". A bunch of meetings simply materialized on my schedule today. I really had it driven home today how many different groups I'm currently obliged to. It is time to start cutting back, for my own sake. That's probably why I've been so negative the past few days; months even. I apologize for that negativity.

Who's on First?

How do I feel today? I feel like Abbott in the classic comedy bit "Who's on First" by Abbott & Costello. Everytime I ask a question, I get the run around. Instead of trying to rephrase their answer I get the same line over and over. ERF!

Of course it's better than not getting any answers. My personal life is acting the same way right about now. I've got many side projects that are hanging on other people. Of course, I can't say I've been perfect on getting back to people myself. I would not be the first one to cast a stone in this case.

What happened?

Why is it that it seems everytime time I do a major revision of my web sites, I have server problems? Things seem to be back now, but I think I may have lost some email - so if you sent something either yesterday or today, please resend it. Thanks!

Lesson learned... not!

Tomorrow it is back to work after a week of "vacation". Of course, I'll be expected to hit the ground running. When will I learn to not schedule to give a training session and a big meeting the day I get back to work? mmm? One of these days I'll learn.

No rest for the weary

Saturday morning and my vacation is almost over. I hardly got anything done this week. Kind of seems odd that I am talking about not getting anything done over my vacation. Aren't vacations supposed to be when you get away from work? Me, it was just getting away from the office - and I didn't do that very well. I was there last Saturday most of the day, a few hours Tuesday night and Wednesday night, and I worked on stuff here at home.

I was planning on getting caught up on my email - that didn't happen. I wanted to finally finish sorting and filing all the miscellaneous stuff on top of desk - that didn't happen. So many little projects, so little progress. Maybe I did go on vacation despite my "great plans" to get a lot done.

More updates

Well, I'm about ready to "open the doors" to the new page and replace the entry point. I'm not real fond of this current look, but I can tinker with it over the weekend. Don't be suprised to see some changes throughout the next week. If you have any opinions, you can email me. Catch ya later!

Temporary site design

Yep, I'm splitting my personal journal away from the blog. New location, new name, eventually a new look. This is just a blogger template, I'll make my own after I finish the Emerald Fusion retooling. I'm sure things will look kind of funky until I'm all done, but that's the way I am. Kind of funky. Maybe I should take a shower then....

OK, I'm back from my month of travels. Does that mean I'll fill up the blog with stories of glamorous Des Moines? Of exotic Wichita? Nope.. not yet. Expect a new look for the page by the end of next week, and then I'll tell you all about the fabulous time spent in going through 4 states in two days.
