I'm a sick puppy

Well, sick is right. I've been battling this "sort-of" sinus infection/cold/crud all week. Right now I think it's got the best of me as my head fills like it is detached from the rest of my body. My already limited attention span is now negligible, so it is a good thing I don't have any meetings today at work!

Things unsaid

Sometimes it takes someone else saying something for it to really make sense. I really agree with this entry about friends. I'm a Taurus like her and I also don't tend to show my friends how much they mean to me. That goes for my family as well.

So, for my friends and family, I love you all and I hope that you know that I do; even if I never actually get all "gushy" about it, you are always in my heart.

sweet thing

I saw a that Joe had seen this and called it a "dream machine". I think I agree.

When it rains...

I should have seen it coming.

All of a sudden I get a huge amount of updating for the Nebraska Library Association page. I should have seen it coming, but I didn't.

How much? Let's say 2 email screens worth. ERF.

The good thing about it is I have a lot of time to give to it, so it isn't all that bad, but if this would have hit me before the holidays - well, I would have been saying a lot worse than "Erf!".

Well, time to quit yakkin' and start workin'.

New Year's Resolutions

You can review my 2003 resolution here. As you may have guessed, I didn't do so well.

So with that, I bring to you my 2004 New Year's Resolutions
  1. Lose an inch around my belly. - I'd rather not start carrying a spare tire around my waist. To help with this Julie & I are starting a no sugar, no refined flour diet. Not as strict as the Atkin's diet.
  2. Start cooking more - I watch plenty of cooking shows, so you'd think I would learn a thing or two about how to cook. It's time to get off the couch and into the kitchen.
  3. Be more organized - In both home and the office, I need to stop having piles and piles of papers and gain control of my tasks instead of them being in control of me.

That's it. Let's see if I do better this year at keeping those resolutions.
