Happy anniversary..

Yep, today is my 3 year anniversary. I also happens to be my wife's 3 year anniversary. Imagine that! {grin}

The net is a wonderful thing

This morning was a "why didn't I try that sooner" type of morning. I've been trying for weeks to get my flash drive to show up on my work computer. I tried everything I could think of. Then I thought - I'll try looking up my problem on Google. Bingo, the solution to my problem. You would think that as a librarian, my first instinct would be to "look it up." I guess this was a case where the male instinct to not ask for directions worked against me.

For those of you want to know how I fixed it, the problem was the computer was assigning the drive letter to be the same as a mapped networked drive. I went into the drive manager, reassigned some drive letters, and there it was, ready to be used!

The Joy of Cooking (Shows)

I just found out that two of my favorite cooking shows will "merging" this month. Take the great Japanese show Iron Chef, throw in great chefs Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, and Wolfgang Puck as competitors and my favorite TV cook, Alton Brown as commentator and you have Iron Chef America.

This has to be a lot better than the UPN/William Shatner version!

Forgetfull Jones

So, I have a session in a few hours with the administration folks for the library I work at. I'm supposed to talk to them about PDAs. I had a great little spiel planned, with visual aids like my old handheld, the box my new one came in, the cables, the old foldable keyboard I had, etc.

So what do I do? I forget all of it. Every single piece that I was planning on bringing. ERF!

I blame it on the time change. More on that later..
