I'm back

I'm back home from the hospital so now I can tell you all what happened.

Yesterday I got a pain in my chest, it wasn't the first time I had pain, but this one was followed with my left arm feeling cold and a bit of a headache & shortness of breath. Sounds a bit like a heart attack, doesn't it?

Anyway, I spend a few hours in the emergency room. They don't think it was a heart attack, but better safe than sorry. I end up staying the night in the cardiac ward so they can take blood tests throughout the night and so I can take a physical stress test the next morning.

Fast forward to today, the blood work is fine, the EKG's are not "textbook" normal, but not bad enough to suggest anything wrong, and my stress test results are fine. They release me and now I'm home typing this entry.

To those of you who emailed or commented with wishes of concern, thank you. I appreciate knowing that there are people out there who do give a darn!

Still in the hospital. Awaiting test results, but things look OK. I feel fine now.

Pottermania

I'm glad that radio stations are giving away copies of a book, that there will be midnight sales for a book, that people are waiting anxiously for a book to come out, that people are trying to get copies of the book before everyone else ... even if that book is the next Harry Potter tale.

I just hope that all of this Pottermania leads to people reading more books. Don't misunderstand me, I think the Potter books are great. I just wouldn't want people to stop there and have those be the only books they ever read with such enthusiasm.
