The wait is over

I can finally tell all of you that I've completed the first part of my tenure process successfully. Actually I could have told you earlier, but I've been busy with Christmas celebrations and rearranging the office at home.

Anyway, I think the hard part is over. I'm not done, and I don't have tenure yet, but things are looking good.

Sorry to keep you all waiting, but I have to wait until I get my "offical" notification of how things went for my tenure deliberations. I should have that soon.

Tomorrow's the big day!

Well, one of the big days anyway. Tomorrow, deliberations begin for my tenure process. There is another candidate before me, so they may not finish until Wednesday.

If the deliberations go in my favor this week, I still have a few steps to go before achieving tenure, but that doesn't mean that I won't celebrate it. Just getting to this point is a big deal. I've been working for this for quite some time and it will be great to have it be over.

Well, wish me luck and if any of you are in Lincoln tomorrow night, there may be a party going on. I'll post when I know what's going on!
