The muse strikes

Last night while watching television, I was striken by the writing bug. I've got a couple of things started, one a sci-fi detective story and another was a bit of a series of monologues I've messed around with verbally with a few friends. It seems that once I started writing they went in a slightly different direction than what I had planned, but isn't that part of the fun of it?

Maybe, just maybe I'll post some of it here when I get a better draft of it done.
